FRANKLIN LITTLE LEAGUE ASSOCIATION INVITES YOU TO :

THE 2ND ANNUAL BOB “PO” PORTER MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

WELCOME friends and fellow softball and baseball troopers!  Another year for fun and excitement awaits us.  The drive to meet the needs of our children and youth awaits as we bring to you another fine tournament for baseball and softball in Northeast PA.

We’d like to see outside area teams spend the weekend in the local area.  We ask if you’re interested in local accommodations to please let us know how many rooms you would need so we can bargain rates with the local hotels.  We’re here to assist you in any way.  Please visit our website http://eteamz.active.com/frklnll over the next few weeks to see more details as we get all this years data formatted for the event.

We wish the best to all teams and safety for all the players as they give their best.  Have a great season and thanks to all who support the youth and their community.

Meetings

All local Little Leagues are required to conduct background checks on Managers, Coaches, Board of Directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams.  The process involves the volunteer filling out the Little League Volunteer application.  Click here for the form.  If you cannot open the form, you need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer.  Click here  The completed form is then turned in to league officials who will then conduct a nationwide background check. (Note: The United States Department of Justice National Public Registry is free and available at www.nsopr.gov.  Leagues can conduct a more thorough background check through LexisNexis with 125 free checks at http://littleleague.choicepoint.com.)  Volunteers can not assume any duties prior to approval by league officials.  More information on the Little League Child Protection Program can be found here.
